Shhhh - It's a Secret
We picked up Morgan's Birthday present. We got her the Fisher-Price Kids Tough Digital Water Proof Camera. She loves taking pictures and playing with our camera. As a matter of fact, she loves it so much, she can't keep her hands off our. She's dropped our camera so many times the lense doesn't work right. Now that she has a new camera, we'll have to buy one for us too!

A No Good Very Bad Day (or everything that could go wrong does)
Today we went to a birthday party for one of Morgan's friends at school. I found out that Sydney's mom didn't invite all the kids in their class. Apparently there are some kids at their school who are not nice to Sydney so her mom did not want them there. With the problems we were having with Morgan getting along with some of the girls at school, I was extremely relieved that Morgan was not in that group!
You would think a bunch of kids at a jumpy house, screaming and running around, hopped up on sugar would be the most chaotic part of our day. Unfortunately it was not.
Mark, so thoughtfully planned a night out for us as my birthday present. Tonight was supposed to be it. He got a tickets to a play at the theater downtown and reservations to a pretty swank steakhouse. I've been coming down with a cold/sinsus infection and wasn't feeling so hot. With my cold I wasn't really in the mood to enjoy a steak, and plus, with the stuffiness, I wouldn't be able taste anything. I didn't think spending tons of money on something I couldn't appreciate would be the best idea. We decided to have a simplier dinner and then go the play.
From there it went all down hill. We were all running late and then Morgan threw a fit for a half hour so we started out the night late. Plus we were stressed out from dealing with her tantrum. We went to park at the theater and found out the parking only took cash so we had to find an ATM. By now, we had less then an hour to eat before the show started. So we ended up eating at a not so cheap place in the theater complex. When we got to the theater, we found out we had the time wrong. We had an extra half hour! At least we had a half hour then to relax. The show, The Last Five Years, was pretty good. After the show we drove home. We drive some back roads to get home. On one of the back roads, about four blocks away from our house. We get pulled over by the police. Mark didn't come to a full stop at one of the stop signs. To top it off, we can't find our most recent insurance card. He let us go on the stop sign, but Mark needs to appear in court with proof (which we now have) of our current insurance. When we get home at 10:30, Morgan is still up. She wants me to sleep with her and at this point, I don't want anymore drama. Morgan crawls into bed with me and we call it a night.
Mark was so sweet to plan all these, I just wish it could have all turned out different! I guess we'll just have to try this again. It can only get better, right??

Emergency Room Take 3
Have you heard about our family curse? For the last couple of years we end up in the emergency room around this time. One year Morgan fell off a ride at Chuck E Cheese, ended up with a concussion, couldn't keep fluids down and stayed in the hospital over night. The next year, Morgan fell off a railing at Sesame Place and cracked her head. It was bleeding but thankfully no stitches and no concussion.
Even though this emergency room was for animals, instead of people, I can't help but wonder if it's a continuation of our curse. We ended up in two seperate emergency rooms for four hours with Tyler. We were dog sitting Tyler. Before we got him, he had already spent the night in an ER. This is were it gets gross. One of his anal glands had burst, causing a hole the size of a quarter in his butt. While watching him, we needed to put two types of cream on his hole. Let me tell you, this made for one very, very unhappy dog and a very, very difficult situation. During one of his rabid dog impersionations, ended up tweaking his leg. We found out from the first vet, that his shoulder had popped out of the joint and he could not fix it. On to the second vet, who had to keep him over night, pop it back into place and wrap it up. We all decided that it was best for him to stay at the vet at least until Mom and Rich could pick him up on Monday, if he doesn't stay longer to heal. Poor little guy! Mark and I felt awful.

Don't Fear Change - Embrace It
Since Morgan is almost four years old now, I've been thinking that babiesonline.com is not the best place to post anymore. Since several other friends have switched over here, I thought I might follow the herd and try this out too. While this site is not password protected, I have made it private, so the only way to find it is by directly typing in the URL. For those of you who are a bit forgetful (and you know who you are) you may want to write it down.
Here is your abbreviated tour of the site. On your right you will see some pictures followed by links to our photo albums on Snapfish (WARNING - These albums have not yet been edited so there are literally hundreds of pictures to navigate through. I will be fixing that soon). After that are the video links. Below that are links to previous blog entries. I have no idea how many entries fit on this first page or how long they appear, but if you miss any, you can click on those links and read them. Directly below this post you will see "Posted by Michelle at 5:26 PM 0 comments". If you click on "comments", you can read what's been written (if there were any) or you can add your own comment. There will be a comment link available for each post. While babiesonline.com was great while it lasted, this site allows me to do so much more.
So sit back, enjoy the new site and the crazy ride also known as our life.
