Neighborhood Booing

Ever hear of Neighborhood Booing? Us either, until we moved into our new neighborhood two years ago and got boo'ed. We woke up one morning to find a basket filled with goodies, a picture of a ghost and the following poem:

Happy Halloween
This treat is for you, we hope you enjoy. The idea is simple, one we hope you employ. You pass "BOO" along to two other neighbors. Along with any kind of Halloween favors. If we all do our part, and spread the good cheer, By Halloween night it will be very clear,We're a friendly bunch, we like to share fun, so please do your part to keep "BOO" on the run!

Directions:
1. Place BOO on your door
2. You now have two days to make two copies of this poem, two copies of "BOO", and two "scare" packages to pass on to your neighbors who haven't been "BOO"ed
3. Watch to see the fun spread around the neighborhood.

By Halloween our whole neighborhood had BOO on their doors.

Last year, I was excited for this tradition to happen again since Morgan was older and able to understand the concept better. But alas, there was no BOO. So this year, we decided to take matters into our own hands and start it ourselves. Morgan was so excited to do this. Once it was dark, we sneaked out to do our mischief. Morgan was like a stealth Ninja, all hunched over as she carefully and quietly tiptoed up our neighbors stairs. She placed the baskets just so and ran back as fast as she could bursting into silent laughter with her hand over her mouth.

I hope, like two years ago, by Halloween the whole neighborhood has BOO on their doors and Morgan can see all the fun she started.

This seems like so much fun. I wish we could get our neighbors to do something like this. Maybe next year once everyone has recovered from the hurricane we can try this out. Right now it's still a mess. (I think we are the only house without a blue tarp on it.)
